2014
Annual Foundation Golf Classic
Tournament Successful
The American Traffic Safety Services Foundation
raised funds for its programs by hosting the
23rd Annual Golf Classic Tournament at TPC
San Antonio, February 21. A special thanks to
Ennis-Flint
as the 2014 title sponsor.
The event was supported by 66 sponsors and 153 players.
Proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit the
Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship and the National
Work Zone Memorial programs.
“The golf tournament received outstanding support from
ATSSA members, and the weather cooperated,” said The
Foundation President Sue Reiss. “We were thrilled that this
was another successful event.
Lyndsay Morgan, a Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship
recipient, spoke at the golf awards ceremony. She thanked
Foundation supporters and said her father, Steven Morgan,
is the reason she pushes herself to reach her dreams.
Second Annual Foundation
Sporting Clays Event
Targets New Participants
Thanks to generous sponsors and
participants, the Second Annual
Foundation Sporting Clays Event was a
success. Twenty-two sponsors and 93
shooters participated in the event, which
was held at the National Shooting
Complex in San Antonio, Texas, Feb. 21.
A special thanks is extended to
Impact
Recovery Systems, Inc.,
as the 2014
title sponsor.
The Foundation fundraising event allowed shooters to
compete for first and second place trophies in four classes.
Proceeds from the Sporting Clays Event support the
Foundation’s programs.

National Work Zone Memorial
The National Work Zone Memorial was unveiled in 2002
to honor those who have died in work zone accidents,
including roadway workers, motorists, pedestrians, law
enforcement officers, safety officials (fire fighters and
paramedics), and children.
This traveling exhibition, titled
“Respect and Remembrance:
Reflections of Life on the Road,”
pays tribute to lives lost
by displaying their names.
More than 105,000 people viewed the Memorial during its
visit to eight locations across the United States in 2014.
Eleven names were added to the
National Work Zone Memorial in 2014.
