The Foundation
Produces Roadway
Worker Videos
The Foundation produced two new
Foundation videos to promote roadway
safety. The story about Steve Morgan, a
firefighter, highway worker, father, son,
colleague and brother, who was killed in
a roadway work zone in Sarasota, Fla.,
in 2011, is show on one video.
His daughter, Lyndsay, received a
scholarship from The Foundation.
The second
video tells the
story about
Kristen
Holloway, a
young woman
who joined
several
members of her
family who
worked for a
roadway contractor in Texas. While she
was working to make the area’s roads
safer for motorists, she was killed in a
roadway work zone. Her mother worked
for the roadway contractor, but she wasn’t
on the job that day.
Her family remembered Holloway with
a wooden plaque engraved with the
words: “Our Warrior Princess: In the
Arms of Angels.” The Foundation
honors and remembers Kristen on the
National Work Zone Memorial.
Congratulations to the 2014 Scholarship Recipients
