“My placement on the Senate Environment and

Public Works Committee will allow me the

opportunity to bring a greater focus on our state’s

infrastructure needs, including the very critical

flood projects, protecting against overreach by

the EPA on things like WOTUS, and defending the

RFS. I look forward to working with my

colleagues and voicing Iowans’ concerns as part

of the Environment and Public Works Committee

in this next Congress.”

“One area which is a very important area for me is

infrastructure. California has $59 billion in unmet

transportation needs. We have an incredible need

for upgrading our transportation infrastructure

in California.”

“I am honored to be a member of the Committee on

Transportation and Infrastructure, which will

play a pivotal role in rebuilding our nation’s

deteriorating infrastructure while simultaneously

creating jobs and boosting our nation’s economy.

I am especially pleased that this service also will

provide many opportunities to help my district

and the state of Florida grow stronger and more

competitive.”

Johnson said part of his focus will also be to

upgrade transportation along the I-20 East

corridor through the heart of the Fourth District.

“This means jobs. This means serious federal

investment in our transportation infrastructure,

in roads, bridges, and rail. Metro Atlanta and

south DeKalb in particular needs a seat at this

table. Now we have one.”
