The New Mexico Dental Association hosted a Committee on New Dentists summit on May 29. Representatives from the
American Dental Association led a brainstorming session to encourage and develop new ideas to increase membership and
activate the community of young dentists in the state. NMDA Membership Director Kansas Begaye stated, “This meeting was
a great opportunity to not only learn new ways to build membership, but was a great introduction to the membership process
for the young dental leaders who attended.” The Chair of the Committee on New Dentists, Dr. Joe Gherardi, said, “I am
excited to lead this group, and to get both new and established dentists together to provide value for the entire membership.”
