Dr. Stephen Wagner
Awarded with the Private Practice Award
from the American College of Prosthodontists
New Mexico dentist Stephen A. Wagner, DDS, FACP, was honored with the Private
Practice Award by the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP). Dr. Wagner was
honored at the Annual Awards & Presidents Dinner during the 44th Annual Session
of the American College of Prosthodontists in New Orleans from Nov. 5–8, 2014.
Dr. Wagner is a well-respected and highly praised prosthodontic professional by
his colleagues, students, and patients. In fact, Dr. Wagner has been elected by ACP
members to serve on the Board of Directors as Director of Private Practice and
Patient Care for a 3-year term effective Nov. 7, 2014.
The whole dental experience with Dr. Wagner was a miracle to me. I will be 80 this
year and he gave me back my 24-year-old smile, and he did it in a pleasant, peaceful,
kind way, said patient Nancy Terry. Along with providing exceptional patient care,
Dr. Wagner is an innovator who has made great strides in helping the general
prosthodontic specialty.
He invented the Wagner Universal impression tray out of his desire to streamline
and facilitate the denture-making process. He wants to help clinicians everywhere
get better, faster impressions for their denture patients so that they can be proud of
the results they are able to achieve, said Diana Ulrickson, DDS.
Created in 2013, the Private Practice Awardmay be given annually to up to five individual
Prosthodontists (one per ACP Region). These individuals must have made outstanding
contributions to the advancement of the prosthodontic specialty and the role that
the Prosthodontists in private practice plays in advancing the patient’s quality of life.
Prosthodontists are specialized dentists with advanced training in oral health issues,
who are committed to improving patient outcomes. From implants, crowns, veneers
and tooth whitening, to full-mouth reconstruction, Prosthodontists specialize in
digital dentistry and CAD/CAM solutions.
