Don’t ask us how it’s already nearly Octo- ber… but while things have changed quite a bit since last fall, we are still offering tons of fabulous (remote) education for all of you. Section Meetings are FREE one- hour CLEs available to all members. We have been hosting more section meetings than ever as we work to keep you all connected and entertained this year. You can keep an eye on the listserv for announcements about these monthly or bi-monthly meet- ings. All section meetings are being held remotely until further notice, which makes it even easier for you to tune in from wherever you are! Topics have expanded to keep you up-to-date on whatever your practice may face Exciting Upcoming Education at OTLA this Fall! in this time of change and uncer- tainty. Don’t miss out on this awesome FREE resource that comes with your membership! OTLA has 12 specialty sections which all meet frequently to keep you up to date and in contact with your colleagues. Check out our upcoming meetings like “Becoming a Civil Rights Lawyer and the Ongo- ing Struggle for Justice”, “Mediating a Consumer Case”, “Wage Claims and Leave Laws during COVID”, and much more! This fall OTLA organized a multi- week, in-depth course on Civil Rights and 1983 Claims . This summer brought a necessary reckoning with racial injustice across the country and as part of a continued effort to push for a better society for all, we are empow- ering trial lawyers to create change by understanding and using 42 USC § 1983, the general federal civil rights statute. The course, led by OTLAns Elden Rosenthal, Michelle Burrows, Ashlee Albies, Erious Johnson and Jesse Merrithew, is already underway and will be available for download in October for all those who missed it. Check out our CLE store to access this and many other useful recordings. Thursday and Friday October 22nd–23rd is OTLA’s biggest event of the season, the Annual Motor Vehicle CLE. This fantastic CLE opportunity will be held over 2 days for the first time ever! We just couldn’t get all the fantastic content into one day. You can look forward to a presentations cover- ing all your essential MV topics with important updates and tips from the best in the business! The CLE will be held virtually this year and there will be a loaded schedule — you don’t want to miss this one!
