Immediate past-President Ronn Elzinga awarded the 2020 President’s Award to Scott Busch and the all-star legal team of Kathryn Clarke , John 2020 President’s Award: The Busch Dream Team Coletti , Nadia Dahab , Travis Eiva and Gene Hallman . Many of you know Scott Busch’s story. In 2015, he was struck by a garbage truck which made an illegal turn into a crosswalk while O TLA-PAC’s top priority for the past several election cycles has been to change the cul- ture in the Senate and build a pro-civil justice majority. In efforts earlier this year to do just that, OTLA-PAC was actively involved in a number of important primary races in which the winner will succeed in November because of the heavy voter registration edge of either party. One such race was that of Kate Lieber in Senate District 14, Beaverton area. Lieber Your Guardian Dollars At Work: Political & Legislative Update won her primary to replace Mark Hass who was running for Secretary of State and lost to OTLA member and champion for civil justice Shemia Fagan. Hass was a reliable supporter of civil justice but Lieber is going to be a champion!
