its third annual Food
and Beverage Forum
in November at the
beautiful Pen Ryn
Estate in Ben Salem.
Attendees enjoyed
drinks, heavy hor
d’oeurves, an insightful
panel discussion and
dessert reception. This
year more than 100
people were in attendance. The impressive panel was moderated
by PRLA President & CEO John Longstreet. Panelists included: Bill
Covaleski, founder and brew master of Victory Brewing Company,
Dan DiZio, CEO and co-founder of Philly Pretzel Factory, and Anuj
Gupta, general manager of the Reading Terminal Market.
In November, VisitPhilly announced an unprecedented version of
its VisitPhilly Overnight Package for winter! The VisitPhilly Overnight
Package for Winter was offered at 38 city hotels. “Winter’s more
fun when you sleep over in Philadelphia,” said Meryl Levitz,
president and CEO. The super value-added hotel package
allows visitors to “experience all of the city’s winter wonders for
themselves.” The package also included a gift card for use at any
of Chef Jose Garces’ restaurants in Philadelphia, two untimed
tickets for Jurassic World: The Exhibition at the Franklin Institute,
admission and ice skate rentals for two at Blue Cross RiverRink
Winterfest and a code from Uber good for one free ride valued up
to $10.
