Truck PAC has several new ideas to roll out in 2019 and we need to grow this effort in order to have policymakers care about our issues. We also are building new educational programs in response to requests from you. Our third year NW Fleet Safety Certification program participants will graduate this coming April and the inaugural NW Fleet Maintenance Certification program participants will graduate this coming March at the TMC Maintenance Fair! We are building professionalism into our industry with the renewed emphasis on training, which will pay dividends for years to come. Our events this coming year are going to move up a notch, as well! Every event we do from the Southern Oregon Mixer to our new Safety Security Summit is on the planning table now to ensure that the value is there for your participation. We will start the year with the Southern Oregon Mixer on January 24 at Seven Feathers Casino Resort in Canyonville, Oregon with a program you won’t want to miss! We will use this opportunity to provide training in the afternoon for those of you who want to take advantage of a smaller commute, so block out the afternoon and evening for this event. We will roll out the details for our other events after the first of the year. I’m hoping that every one of you reading this column will take the time to review what is available to you to maximize the benefit of your membership.
