All new permits are issued the same day during standard business hours, and you’ll receive physical permits with attachments via mail within a few days. Need them sooner? Temporary extended weight permits are available upon request at no charge with the order of an annual permit. They are good for 30 days and can be faxed immediately so your driver can get on the road. Because of the influx of permit requests at ODOT, agents (like OTA) receive a list of renewals companies ordered the previous year. You’ll receive a renewal reminder 2–3 months in advance. Receiving such a notice is legitimate, but please contact us with any concerns. Renewal requests are processed and sent well before their expiration date and office copies are available upon request. With OTA, there is no need to print and bundle permits for your drivers yourselves. We do the work for you, so you can focus on other aspects of your business.
