The Oregon Caregiver Fall/Winter 2017 www.ohca.com 26 QUALITY SUMMIT L ast month, over 1,400 long term care professionals learned valuable skills and listened to engaging presenters at the OHCA Annual Convention and Trade Show. This year’s western-theme encouraged caregivers and providers to continue to "Blaze New Trails" in the provision of quality care by developing and improving upon the quality of care delivered. The 2-day event opened with a keynote address from Craig Zablocki, who discussed the importance of communication in providing thoughtful leadership and person-centered care. The event was packed with education sessions, and OHCA members received training on a variety of topics including memory care, quality, leadership, clinical skills, caregiver skills, workforce concerns, and more.
