12  . The Nursing Voice . Fall 2019 COADN/CACN Fall 2019 Conference I am excited to share that my colleagues and I will be presenting at associate degree in nursing conferences at both the state and national level this fall. The COADN/CACN Joint Meeting will take place October 2–4, 2019 in San Diego, CA. Garrett Chan and I along with our school partners will present on the HealthImpact RN Curriculum Redesign Project. Come prepared to hear from the four schools that participated in this innovative project. West Hills College, California State University East Bay, Harntell College, and San Jose State University will share their stories of success implementing a new curriculum and discover how we might spread this great work. The OADN Annual Convention is set to take place November 8–10, 2019 in Louisville, KY. It promises to be a fantastic event with a great line-up of keynote speakers including CA’s very own KT Waxman speaking on innovations in nursing education. Come prepared to hear from the four schools that participated in this innovative project. Mary Dickow, MPA, FAAN Program Director, HealthImpact The convention will also offer several sessions on NextGen NCLEX, QSEN and leadership development. An all-day workshop entitled “Be the Leader You Would Follow” has already generat- ed interest. That session will be facilitated by me, along with my partners Nell Ard and Kerri Nunn-Ellison from ACEN and will provide valuable tools to expand your leadership skills. In addition, other leadership topics include “Engaging in Critical Conversations” and “Professional Identity in Nursing.” I encour- age you to visit the COADN and OADN websites to review all the session offerings and register for what will be two highly valuable convention opportunities.
