NMDA Dental Directory 2021-22

2 www.nmdental.org President’s Message Dear Colleagues, I believe we would all agree that the last year or so has been a wild ride. We should all be incredibly proud of the dentists in our state. This directory is truly an amalgam of our community, and we have leaned into each other for support through one of the most trying times of many of our careers. We represent dentists from all four corners and from all types of practice models. Since you are reading this, it means you have taken the positive steps of being a member of your local society, the NMDA, and the ADA. For that, we thank you, and we deeply appreciate you! However, in times like this I am going to take it one step further and ask for more. Please become involved if you haven’t already, attend a meeting (now that we can more safely), or donate to the NMPAC. More importantly, reach out to a newer dentist in your community and ask if they need anything. Move…act…lead. We can reach even higher as a unified voice. The NMDA has a shared vision “to empower dental professionals to achieve optimum health for all New Mexicans.” What does this mean? Just to name a few benefits: • Sometimes it means keeping you up to date on all the latest recommendations. • Sometimes it means advocating for dental insurance reform. • Sometimes it means bringing the best educational opportunities to make your practice successful. Our dental community will set an example of what it is to serve unconditionally, educate, and advocate for our citizens with no judgement or agendas. This year, we adopted a diversity and inclusion policy statement that solidifies our determination to unify our state association and assure accountability for our behavior. It is a call for a fairness culture in our organization. After all, the NMDA is made up of people of every race, gender, religion, and even practice model. We are all here together— on one team.
