Bucks-Mont Chapter At the July Bucks-Mont Chapter meeting, Dr. Diana Sorrentino, security and intelligence operations expert at Lehigh Valley Paladin, presented an eye-opening presentation on workplace violence. Dr. Sorrentino shared statistics, personal accounts, and suggestions for the identification, intervention, and prevention of workplace violence. Central Chapter The Central Chapter met in July at the Red Robin Paxton Towne Center for an afternoon of sharing ideas and networking. PRLA President & CEO John Longstreet provided a legislative update for the group. Thank you to the team at Red Robin for the delicious snacks! Congratulations! In July, Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar celebrated its ninth anniversary with special events at its original location on Rt. 22 in Harrisburg. Appalachian Brewing Co. has collaborated with a Chinese brewery, Bionic Brew, on a limited batch beer. Fortune Cookie Ale, which will be released in September, was made with 2,000 individually wrapped fortune cookies. MEMBER MILESTONES Keystone Chapter Social media was the topic at the July Keystone Chapter meeting held at the Days Inn Penn State. Guest speaker Chelsea Newsock of Hospitality Asset Management Company shared tips with chapter members and their guests on how to market their businesses through social media outlets. Thank you to the Days Inn Penn State for hosting the chapter meeting! Lancaster Chapter The Lancaster Chapter members and their guests enjoyed an evening of fellowship at its Summer Mixer. Thank you to Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant for hosting the event! A good time was had by Lancaster Chapter members and their guests at the chapter’s annual golf outing in August. The golf scramble followed by dinner at the beautiful Foxchase Country Club benefited the chapter’s scholarship fund. Thank you to all our sponsors and the team at Foxchase for their hospitality.
