Featured Article Other PLSO Scholarship Recipients This year there were no applicants for the Pete Maring Scholarship, which is set up for children of PLSO members that are majoring in fields other than surveying. This is a member benefit set up by the PLSO Board. Members that have college bound children are encouraged to take advantage of this important member benefit to ease the financial burden of college. A total of $18,000 in scholarships was awarded this year. These funds come from the endowment funds that PLSO has invested with the Oregon Community Foundation along with additional funds allocated by the PLSO Board from the PLSO Scholarship fundraising efforts at the annual meeting. Thank you to all members who help support the scholarship and outreach fund raising efforts. A special thanks to the scholarship committee members: Gary Anderson, Kelly Miller and Dan Saily for their time in reviewing and ranking the applications.  x Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon  |  www.plso.org 9
