PAGD Keystone Explorer Spring 2020

Keystone Explorer |  Spring 2020  15 pagd news  Rick’s passing is such a loss because his living was such a plus—his energy, humor, and generosity were a positive influence in all of our lives. Rick, you are loved and will be missed. – David Dutkowski, DMD, MAGD There came a day last year when Rick pulled me aside after a meeting and told me how proud he was of me. That meant the world to me. I am a better dentist and person because of my interac- tions with Rick. He will forever be someone I aspire to be like. – Ray Johnson, DMD, MAGD I am so sorry to hear the news about Rick. He was a great dentist, leader, and mentor. He helped so many of us become better dentists through the PEAK group. It is our job to keep his legacy moving forward. He will be missed. Rest in peace my friend. – Joyce Kasunich, DMD, MAGD From my first PAGD meeting in State College 2005 to my Fellowship award Ceremony in New Orleans 2018, if it weren’t for your friendship and leadership I may have never challenged myself and taken the next step to becoming who I am today. Thank you for your friendship, leadership, and guidance. Rest easy my friend . – Ryan Buehner, DMD, FAGD I always joked that before he gave up his du- ties with PAGD and AGD that I needed to know everything in his brain, but I was so serious. He was a wealth of knowledge. He was a leader and a mentor like no other to myself and to so many others. I will surely miss him, his voice, his smile, and his guidance...all irreplaceable and ever so memorable. – Leigh Jacopetti-Kondraski, DMD Rick gave so much of himself to our profession, there is going to be a huge void that we all are going to see and feel. Hopefully, collectively, we can fill a portion of it. It was an honor to call you my friend and colleague and to serve with you in dif- ferent capacities. My heart goes out to your family, office, and loved ones. Our loss is great, but theirs is so much greater. You are going to be missed. – Kurt Laemmer, DMD, MAGD
