To do this, we need your help! This issue of The Dispatch is focused on getting more involved—advocating, getting proper training, promoting the trucking image, attending industry events, and networking with others in the trucking industry. If you have a true appreciation and dedication to safety and want to help others succeed, become part of the SMC. Your role can be as little or as much as you’d like. Have some great ideas for speakers, topics, or activities? Want to be in the thick of things out on the TDC course? Volunteer your time and help OTA and SMC promote these events, recruit attendees and competitors and even offer on-site assistance. Your help makes it all happen! Whether you’re a safety professional, like to assist with event planning, or just want to promote safety in the trucking industry, we’ve got a place for you. If you have drivers who are interested in competing in the TDC, but want to check out the event first, encourage them to volunteer to they can see what the event entails. New to OTA and are curious about how you can get involved?
