www.moasphalt.org 3 Welcome to the 2019 MAPA Directory. In this directory you will find lists containing our members, Missouri Department of Transportation, committees, and other industry contacts. This valuable resource gives you quick access to those industry leaders’ contact information. This directory is made possible by the support of those advertising in the directory and we would like to thank them for their contribution. Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association works throughout the year promoting the industry, educating about the proper use of asphalt, and informing owners on the benefits of asphalt. We do this through a variety of different avenues: Annual MAPA Conference, MAPA Black to Basics Spring Training, and Lunch and Learns. As part of our education outreach, we also host a MAPA-REF Annual Golf Tournament. The MAPA-REF is the Research and Education Fund. The funds raised go directly in support of educating those interested in pursuing a career in the asphalt industry. We provide scholarships to students every year as well as other educational and classroom materials like: asphalt industry books, sieve racks, safety mats, etc. The Research and Education Fund has helped in creating two professor endowments, one at University of Missouri and the other at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Included in our directory is a list of committees that work on different aspects of the industry. These groups are open to members of the Association and are comprised of professionals looking to advance the asphalt industry. The committees are: Technical, Safety, and Marketing. If you are interested in joining one of these committees, please reach out to the chair of that committee. We would also like to introduce a new group to MAPA, the Emerging Leaders. The vision for this group has grown over the past couple of years, leading to the formation of the group in September 2018. The Mission Statement: MAPA Emerging Leaders is comprised of professionals within our industry who strive to promote the proper use of asphalt, pavement selection, and collectively advance the asphalt market. Members of this group will have the opportunity to form new friendships, grow professionally and learn more about the industry through educational opportunities. If you are interested in joining, please contact the chair of the group. There are plenty of opportunities available to get involved with MAPA. We encourage you to check these and reach out to the chairs of the committees or MAPA staff with any questions you might have.
