I’m originally from Pittsburgh but lived and spent the majority of my career in South Florida. Over the past 30 years, I’ve worked in mechanical engineering for Florida Power and Light, State Farm, Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, and Loews Hotels. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN THE DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING AT THE LOEWS SANTA MONICA? In June 2014, I relocated from Loews Universal Orlando Campus to Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF BEING A DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING? What I enjoy most about my job is my amazing team of engineers, and the teaching and training I get to participate in with them. As Director of Engineering, I enjoy building high performance programs, expanding best practices, and exciting renovation projects. I also take great pride in Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel’s reputation as one of the greenest buildings in Southern California. WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANT SKILLS AND TRAITS FOR SOMEONE WORKING IN MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING TO HAVE?
