Support The Foundation At ATSSA’s 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo, there will also be several opportunities to support The Founda- tion. The Foundation will host its 28th Annual Golf Classic and 7th Annual Sport- ing Clays Event on Feb. 8. Funds raised from the events aid The Foundation’s programs that raise public awareness and that support the loved ones of those impacted by work zone crashes. The National Work Zone Memorial will also be at the 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo. The memorial has near- ly 1,500 names of work zone workers, motorists (not including impaired mo- torists), passengers, pedestrians, po- lice officers, and first responders who were killed in work zone crashes. “The 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo is an event that allows ATSSA members from across the country to gather with fellow members of the roadway safety infrastructure industry. The Foundation utilizes this valuable opportunity to share information on The Foundation’s work and to raise funds for our Scholarship and Public Awareness programs,” said Tom Wood, former president of The Foundation. In years past, 3M, a sponsor of The Foundation, has partnered with The Foundation to have a pledge wall at the Annual Convention & Traffic Expo to bring awareness and raise funds for The Foundation. This year, 3M is launch- ing its virtual Pledge Wall—a virtual way for individuals to participate and raise funds ( see page 30 to learn more about the 3M Virtual Pledge Wall ).
