2 American Traffic Safety Services Association MEETINGS & CONVENTIONS ATSSA’s 48th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo takes center stage in San Antonio Nearly 3,500 attendees to convene in Texas for Traffic Expo 2018 As the largest trade show for roadway safety products and services in the U.S., ATSSA’s Annual Convention & Traffic Expo is marking its 48th year in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 26–30, 2018. The attendance of Traffic Expo has grown to nearly 3,500 people with more than 200 exhibiting companies showcasing the latest industry products and services on more than 200,000 square feet of exhibit space. ATSSA’s convention is the premier event for roadway safety professionals and transportation officials from across the U.S. and internationally. The convention brings together business leaders, government officials, manufacturers and corporate roadway personnel involved in nearly every aspect of roadway safety. A wide variety of cutting-edge traffic safety solutions, state-of-the-art roadway safety vehicles and heavy equipment ranging from striping trucks to truck-mounted attenuators will be on display on the convention floor. Additionally, a high-quality line up of education and information sessions ensure safe operation and efficiency, introduce attendees to new safety innovations and offer an opportunity to earn Continuing Education Unit credits. Attendees can participate in committee and council meetings, the Chairman’s Reception, the Opening General Session, education and informational sessions, ATSSA Traffic Talks, ATSSA’s New Products Rollout, ATSSA’s Circle of Innovation, the Innovation Award Recognition Ceremony, and the 2018 Traffic Control Device Challenge. Public officials, such as transportation department roadway and safety engineers, will have the opportunity to vocalize their industry needs to ATSSA manufacturers and suppliers during the ATSSA Circle of Innovation on Monday, Jan. 29. The highly anticipated New Product Rollout Event features Traffic Expo exhibitors with their newest and most innovative products and services. Traffic Expo will culminate with announcements of first, second and third place ATSSA Innovation Award winners.  
