12 Oregon Trucking Associations, Inc. Oregon Truck Dispatch OTA Annual Convention, cont. On the final day of the convention, following a presentation on improving industry image from ATA expert speaker, members voted in a new Board. The association transitioned from OTA Chair, Diane DeAutremont with Lile International Companies to new Chairman, Andy Owens with A&M Transport. Congratulations! Allied partners got the spotlight to showcase their latest products and services to other members during lunch before attendees returned to their sessions where they heard from FMCSA on changes in the safety and compliance and then OTA member, Trevin Fountain with Cummins Sales and Service, on the history of the trucking engine. The event wouldn’t have been complete without the Awards and Recognition Banquet. After dinner, Comedian Greg Warren captivated the audience with his hilarious stand-up routine about using humor to overcome failure. Congratulations to golf tournament winners, Bob and Teresa Shinn with Portland Container Corporation and Steve Annis with Pape Kenworth. Special congratulations to Boshart Trucking— Image Award Recipient, Leavitt’s Freight Service— Carrier Member of the Year, and TEC Equipment—Allied Member of the year (see page 20 for the feature story).
