27 www.ortrucking.org Issue 1 | 2019 OTHER NEWS GETTING INVOLVED IN OTA’S COMMITTEES AS A REMINDER for all OTA Committee members, the next official in- person meeting for each will be held at the annual Safety Conference in Salem on April 17, 2019. This includes the Allied, Membership, Image, OTA in Action, Government Affairs, and Highway Policy committees. You can find the full agenda on the event link on our online calendar, but please watch your emails for specifics. Guest members are welcome to attend, so please bring your great ideas to the table! We are also heading into the second year of our annual Image Award. We are excited to see what our members have been up to this year with community programs and volunteering, involvement with OTA, best practices and improving company culture within their organizations (safety, health & wellness, green efforts, etc.), publicity and overall contribution to the positive image of trucking. Application forms will be available on our website soon, and we will send out a notification in our Express newsletter.
