In partnership with our counterparts in Washington State, we will be hosting a new Security Summit featuring expert speakers on employee, cargo and cyber security—topics that help keep your business safe. Be sure to stick around after these presentations for our Industry Mixer. You’ll have the chance to network with individuals from OTA and WTA at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, WA. Watch for details in our Weekly Express e-newsletter. One of our largest events, however, is our Annual Convention taking place this September 24–26. This year’s theme is “Trucking’s Vision 20/20” and we will be focusing our presentations on what you need to know to help you make decisions over the next couple of years. This year we are integrating OTA’s committee and board meetings throughout the convention which are open to guests as well as providing specialized training at no cost for convention attendees. There will also be an awards gala, TruckPAC Leadership Circle dinner, golf tournament and plenty of time to network and meet with our allied partners at the beautiful Sunriver Resort. We have lined up a wide variety of topics and speakers so be sure to check our website if you are thinking about joining us for what promises to be a premier event! While he might have been a tiny tyrant, Napoleon Bonaparte was onto something when he said, “Ten people who speak make more noise than ten thousand who are silent.” Now is the time to speak up.
