Sean McLaughlin, pilot for OTA member, Mark Gibson’s aviation company, Timberland Helicopters, created a unique video of the event and it’s now available to view. Visit our YouTube, Facebook, and/or OTA website main pages to watch it, share it, and get excited for next year’s TDC! With the launch of our Membership Committee and our strong push for membership, we also have a new OTA promotional video “Join Oregon Trucking Associations!” It’s short, straight to the point, and hopefully catches the eyes of many industry folks that are still on the fence of OTA membership. As we all know, trucking is a small community built on trust and sharing best practices and word of mouth is always the best referral. So, please take 30 seconds, watch the video, and send it out to some of your trucking friends who are not yet members with us. After all, the more members we have, the more power we have as an industry to make things happen! The Impact of Trucking Survey A few months ago, we asked our members to fill out a brief survey on their individual company. Although we have some statistics available for the impact trucking has on jobs, it’s important for us to know how much our association’s members contribute to the economy and the community. Please take a few minutes to let us know how many employees you have and whether your company is involved in local charities and volunteerism. Every number helps us support our cause when we’re meeting with legislators and other groups. Call on Washington Every year, OTA heads out to Washington, DC to meet with legislators and discuss the importance of our industry. Some of our members have attended regularly throughout the years, but we still need your help!
