15 www.ortrucking.org Issue 2 | 2018 Early the next morning, SuperTech station sponsors set up their equipment and testing areas in preparation for the annual competition for professional and student diesel technicians. Competitors were rated on knowledge, accuracy in completing written exams, and diagnostics on actual trucking equipment. Many competed, but only a few winners were eligible for ATA’s National SuperTech Competition. Congratulations to our professional and student winners! The top students and professionals also went head-to-head during JOST’s “Fastest Hands” challenge and Fifth Wheel station. Congratulations to Matt Blake with Lane Community College and Alex Schmidt with TEC Equipment, winners of the challenge. Thank you to all volunteers and sponsors of our two annual TMC events.
