HB 3359 further requires the council, in consultation with DHS, to establish a uniform system for communities to report the quality metrics. The bill requires that the system for reporting allows for electronic reporting and the utilization of existing reporting systems. One existing system is the National Center for Assisted Living’s online data collection tool, LTC Trend Tracker. Trend Tracker for assisted living includes three of the five Oregon measures. This tool is free for OHCA members, and we recommend you take a look at the tool now to become more familiar with it. Improving quality care is a journey. Although these new requirements and concepts may not be familiar to all members, OHCA will work on supporting members throughout this process.
