ANACA The Nursing Voice Fall 2019

4  . The Nursing Voice . Fall 2019 Standing Together: Advocating for the Future of Nursing As we met in the ANA California Office for the Board Meeting on August 18, we noticed the original mission, vision, and values of the organization from 1996 promptly displayed in the office. So many legacy years of dedication, commitment, and advocacy for public policy. First, I want to acknowledge the courage of our founders those many years ago. A big shout out and thank you! Now we turn to what do we want to create for our future…the future of our profession, the future of advocating as the most trusted profession in the United States, the future of advocating for patient protection and independent practice for Nurse Practitioners. I feel the hope of this upcoming year and I am looking forward the expertise we as nurses bring to the table to solve the larger issues through public policy change. Please join us as we hold our board meetings at all regions of the state this year. We would like to share the new mission and vision with you. See you on November 9 in San Diego!
