But, as our staff here at ABC worked to get to know our membership better, we discovered many women are the hearts and souls of their company leadership. So, we went out to find them. Our female ABC members are top leaders of companies doing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, commercial doors, trucking, underground, steel fabrication, and insurance to name a few. They are owners, CFOs, estimators, HR leaders, and top-level management. They bring unique perspectives and insight to an industry once dominated by men. Nationally, ABC designated March 2019 to recognize women in construction. In this edition of our magazine, we too celebrate women in the building trades by sharing stories of those right here in southeast Michigan who are our home-grown industry leaders. Take time to get to know ABC’s women in construction. Your future success may one day depend on it.
