T R E E F A R M N E W S 24 West Virginia Forestry Association Mountain State Forestry | Spring 2021 www.wvfa.org The proposed action will move the project area closer to the desired conditions described in the Forest Plan by improving forest health and age class diversity, improving wildlife habitat, and enhancing stream and riparian corridors, potentially through the creation of early successional habitat, timber management, prescribed burning, and stream restoration. The Forest Plan is available online at www.fs.usda.gov/ main/mnf/landmanagement/planning. Public scoping of the proposed action is anticipated in June 2021, with the environmental assessment becoming available for public review later in the fall.
