SDDS Photos of the Month On July 12, the Empire Dental Political Action Committee (EDPAC) held an event in honor of New York State Senator Andrew Gounardes that was attended by New York State Dental Association (NYSDA) members. The event, which took place at Threes Brewing in Gowanus, Brooklyn, is an annual traditional fundraiser and was also Senator Gounardes’birthday celebration. Senator Gounardes has been a close friend of dentistry for a number of years and EDPAC has supported him ever since his career as a politician started. He is also the son of Past NYSDA Speaker Dr. Steven Gounardes. EDPAC is the bipartisan voice of thousands of New York State dentists. Together, it helps elect candidates to state office who understand the importance of dentistry and dentistry’s unrelenting commitment to improving oral health care in New York State.
