Connect, Engage and Grow Your Practice Delegated Social Media Marketing Over the past several years, Second District Dental Soci- ety (SDDS) has recognized numerous students from dental programs in Brooklyn and Staten Island schools for their outstand- ing academic achievements. On May 27, 2021, RCDS Past Presi- dent Dr. Marc Meiselman visited Tottenville High School to pres- ent awards to two recent gradu- ates from the school’s dental assisting program. Seniors Diana Zarudyanskiy and Fares Yehia received certificates of recogni- tion for clinical excellence and academic excellence respectively, along with monetary awards of $250 each. A week later, on June 3, SDDS member Dr. Lorna Flamer- Caldera presented awards to grad- uating students from New York City College of Technology (City Tech) during graduation cere- monies held via Zoom. Jamila Kinsale and Yessenia Lorenzo, both students in the City Tech dental hygiene program, were presented with the profes- sionalism award and academic excellence award, respectively. From the City Tech restorative dentistry program, student Pavlos Malonoukos received an award for technical proficiency, while student Jessica Ordonez was honored with the award for academic excellence. All students also received monetary awards of $500. SDDS congratulates these deserving students on their exceptional achievements and wishes them the best of luck as they continue their academic and professional careers in dentistry!
