But as more women are taking over roles in dispatch, safety, management, and becoming drivers, those numbers are changing. According to Women in Trucking’s 2023 Index report, in 2023, women made up approximately 44% of dispatcher roles, 42% of safety roles, 32% of C-Suite Executives, and 12% of professional driver roles. The OTA is proud of the many women in Oregon who are changing the face of the trucking industry, from drivers to executives to maintenance managers.
