Registration OTA’s registration desk started greeting attendees Monday afternoon. Committee meetings were the first thing on the agenda. This year, committee meetings were open to all attendees and featured a special guest speaker. Those interested could attend to learn more about what each committee had been up to and find out how they could get involved. The first keynote speaker of the event was Ken Gronbach, Demographer, Futurist, and Generational Marketing Expert. Ken brought his unique perspective on the power of predictability and provided information on how numbers and patterns can work for you when making important business decisions. Following Ken’s presentation, we threw the doors open in the downstairs exhibit hall for the Chairman’s Reception. Several trucks made the journey to Bend to be part of the festivities out on the Riverhouse patio. Attendees ventured out into the high heat to explore the vehicles. Reception On Tuesday, State Economist and Director of the Oregon Office of Economic Analysis Mark McMullen updated attendees on Oregon’s economic outlook. Following more than a year of lockdowns, supply chain disruptions, and the ongoing coronavirus concerns, the outlook was—surprisingly—quite positive.
