Oregon Truck Dispatch 70th Annual OTA Convention & Exhibition Accelerating the Economic Recovery By Christa Wendland, OTA Communications Consultant TALK ABOUT a good time and good timing! OTA held its 70th Annual Convention & Exhibition at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes in Bend August 9–11... just a few days before Oregon’s indoor mask mandate went back into effect. Close to 150 attendees, allied partners, speakers, and guests gathered to discuss how trucking is “Accelerating the Economic Recovery.” Those interested started off that Monday with an early round of golf at River’s Edge. From all reports, the course and the camaraderie were worth the early wake-up call. Luckily, smoke from area wildfires had not blow into Bend yet, although it did show up a few days later. While some of the allied partners who golfed snuck in a quick nap Monday afternoon, others were busy setting up their booths at this year’s exhibition. Both our allied partners and attendees were eager to have some true in-person face time to discuss the latest products and services in a tradeshow setting.
