www.ohca.com SPRING/SUMMER 2023 The Oregon Caregiver 27 2023 SPRING EXPO 2023 Spring Expo We hosted our Spring Expo at the Salem Convention Center on April 20 and 21. With more than 600 provider registrants along with our staff, volunteers, exhibitors, and sponsors, this was the largest spring conference event we’ve ever held! The event was a huge success, filled with great energy and valuable educational trainings. We loved being able to reconnect with long term care professionals, sponsors, and exhibitors face-to-face. This year we celebrated growth, exciting new opportunities, and rejuvenation with this year’s theme, “Spring into Quality.” Kelli Jaecks kicked off the two-day event with her keynote presentation, “Strategies to Slay Workplace Burnout in Healthcare,” where she shared mindfulness strategies for leaders to slay workplace burnout and rejuvenate their sense of purpose. Following the keynote, attendees were able to attend a wide variety of educational sessions on quality improvement, DEI, memory care, leadership, and other important topics for long term care professionals. At lunch, attendees got to engage with important service providers, exhibitors, and sponsors at the Trade Show. At the end of the day, attendees were invited to kick off their shoes and enjoy a happy hour and pub trivia with complimentary appetizers and drinks. Attendees woke up refreshed as they returned to a second day of important and thought-provoking education sessions.
