In 2023, an estimated 877,131 Oregonians were 65 years of age or older, and, of that, 85,316 were over the age of 85—the age group most likely to need some form of care and support.5 By 2030, there will be an estimated 110,343 Oregonians over the age of 85, a 29% increase over the next eight years.
