Oregon’s population is aging steadily. In 2022, an estimated 834,769 Oregonians were 65 years of age or older, and, of that, 88,718 were 85 or older—the age group most likely to need some form of care and support.18 By 2030, there will be an estimated 111,894 Oregonians over the age of 85, a 26% increase over the next eight years.
