OBA What advice would you offer to other banking professionals looking to lead in their organizations? RD I often think I could be a better leader if I had experience working as a loan officer or teller early on, so my advice to aspiring leaders is to look for opportunities to work across different areas of the bank. Great leaders come from diverse backgrounds which helps them gain credibility with their teams and offer valuable perspectives when solving problems or identifying opportunities. Banking is all about risk management, and working in various departments provides a better understanding of those risks.
