OBA EDUCATION FOUNDATION Foundation’s 50 Forward Campaign Smashes $50,000 Fundraising Goal Thank You to the OBA Education Foundation’s 2023 Individual Donors In Q4 of 2023, the OBA Education Foundation launched its annual 50 Forward campaign aimed at raising $50,000 to help build the banking talent pipeline. Through partnerships with Oregon universities, the Foundation has brought about banking courses and experiential learning opportunities in commercial banking. Funds from the 50 Forward campaign allow the Foundation to continue this work and add other universities and community colleges to its list of partners. Through a combination of OBA’s fundraising efforts, a silent auction and an in-person appeal during the Oregon Bank Leadership Symposium in December, the Foundation smashed its Q4 goal, raising $78,523.50. For the second year running, OBA Outgoing Chair and Foundation Board Member Joan Reukauf, People’s Bank of Commerce, along with Summit Bank’s Jenny Bennett, rallied the room and inspired donations to the OBA Education Foundation during the Oregon Bank Leadership Symposium in December.
