HALL OF FAME Oregon Bankers Association Inducts Jeff Sumpter into Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame The OBA inducted Jeffrey (Jeff) D. Sumpter, president and CEO of Lewis & Clark Bank, into the Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame during the Oregon Bank Leadership Symposium held in December. Induction into the Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed peer-to-peer within the Oregon banking community. It recognizes the outstanding contributions inductees have made to the Oregon banking industry, to the OBA and to the communities in which they live and work. A born and raised Oregonian, Sumpter enlisted in the U.S. Navy following high school in Oregon City. After his service to his country, he began his banking career at U.S. Bank. During his time at U.S. Bank, he served in various branch management and sales positions. Eventually, he joined a community bank where he served as chief lending officer. In 2008, he and his business partner Trey Maust co-founded Oregon City-based Lewis & Clark Bank. 2023 Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame inductee Jeff Sumpter (center), president and CEO of Lewis & Clark Bank, pictured with his family who were surprise guests during his induction.
