Dr. Larry Willis Miles Jr., adjunct faculty at Augusta University’s Dental College of Georgia, has been named by Gov. Brian Kemp to the Georgia Board of Dentistry. The Georgia Board of Dentistry has 11 governor-appointed members and is comprised of nine dentists, one dental hygienist, and one consumer member. The board protects public health in the practice of dentistry by regulating and enforcing standards of practice. Miles is also a member of the Georgia Dental Association, American Dental Association and participates on the Georgia Dental Association awards committee. Miles earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a doctorate in dental medicine from the Dental College of Georgia. Dr. Buchanan’s private practice, Dental Dreams, serves as a training ground for HBCU students interested in STEM. She is a star in the dental industry and deservingly received the 2024 ADA 10 Under 10 Award. This award goes to 10 outstanding dentists who have had great achievements in their short 10 years of work. Dr. Buchanan is a champion for health policy, innovation, and mentoring the next generation of dentists!
