Dr. T. Alan Lyle Oct. 10, 1939 — Dec. 23, 2023 Dr. Lyle was a graduate of GA Tech, and in 1967 was first in his Dental Class at the University of Tennessee (Memphis). He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing. He also enjoyed motocross, cooking and camping with his sons, other family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by two sons, Lee Lyle and Mike Lyle; and is survived by his wife of many years, Ann Lyle; son, Lonnie Lyle, five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Dr. Jerome Worth Lynn Jr. Nov. 24, 1937— Jan. 13, 2024 Dr. Lynn graduated from Emory University and earned his D.D.S. from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1962. He practiced dentistry with his father before establishing his own practice in 1964. His family included his wife of 62 years, Nancy; son, Jerome; daughter, Barbara; and four grandchildren. His interests included restoring Hudson automobiles, woodworking, boating, hunting and fishing. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved telling jokes. Dr. John Felix Mash Jr. Oct. 5, 1943 – Nov. 23, 2023 Dr. Mash attended UGA and Mercer for predental training and did postgraduate work at the University of Florida School of Dentistry. He earned his D.D.S. at Emory University School of Dentistry in 1968. He practiced in Macon for twenty years and he retired early to care for his mother who had Parkinson’s disease for twenty-five years. Dr. Mash later lived in Daytona Beach and was a lifetime member of the ADA, GDA and Central District Dental Society. Dr. Jack Earl Ramsey Jr. Jun. 17, 1933 – Jan. 1, 2024 In his youth, Dr. Ramsey was a crop duster at 15 after embellishing his age. He graduated from The Citadel Military College in 1954 and joined the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot near the end of the Korean conflict. Later, he served in the Georgia Air National Guard. Dr. Ramsey graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1965 and practiced in Savannah until retiring last year at age 90. He briefly played minor league baseball, was a pianist, gardener, and beekeeper. Yet, his greatest fulfillment came from serving his country. Dr. Charles Milton Rosenberg Sep. 20, 1938 – Mar. 17, 2024 Dr. Rosenberg earned his D.D.S. from the University of Maryland Dental School and specialized in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He served two years in the U.S. Navy. With Drs. Brickman and Green, Dr. Rosenberg founded Atlanta’s first incorporated oral surgery practice, Georgia Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery which thrived for 42 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann Bernice (Bunny), children I.J. and Sammy, six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Dr. William Ernst Wege Jun. 17, 1933 – Sept. 28, 2023 Dr. Wege graduated from the Medical College of Georgia Dental School and moved to Hinesville in 1974 where he practiced Dentistry until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, gardening, his many pets, and all things Christmas. He was a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. But mostly, he loved spending time with his wife, Carol, with whom he just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; their four children, Leigh, William, Laura and Richard; and five grandchildren. Dr. James Earl Williams Jun. 14, 1928 — Jan. 18, 2024 Dr. Williams earned a D.D.S. from the University of Tennessee Dental School, and a master’s degree in public health from UNC Chapel Hill. He was a Life Member in Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Society. In 1969, he joined the inaugural faculty of the Medical College of Georgia Dental School and Chaired the Community Dentistry until 1993. Earl also served in the Air Force as a dentist. He and his wife, Katherine, were married 73 years, raising three children—Karen, Diane, and Jimmy—and enjoying seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. | 41 Sept 2024
