President Dr. Jamie Mitchell and Executive Director Kristen Morgan visited districts to exchange ideas and connect. Membership Outreach GDA held events around the state to engage existing members and recruit new ones. GDA’s presence at the Dental College of Georgia included the ASDA vendor fair and spring golf tournament, resident’s breakfast, lunch and learns, student awards lunch, and more. The association promoted careers in dentistry in Georgia through its dental workforce initiative with HOSA, the Future Health Professionals organization (formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America). The HOSA State Leadership Conference was attended by 4,400 high school students, advisors, and parents. GDA members reached out to several pre-dental clubs in the state to help provide speakers and connections with dentists. Focus on Member Value GDA launched several new member benefits in 2024, including complimentary online CE and a free job posting on the GDA Career Center (valued at $125).
