Winter 2019 • PENNSYLVANIA RESTAURANT & LODGING matters •  27 Northeastern Chapter Settlers Hospitality honored veterans by offering free lodging at its properties—The Settlers Inn, Silver Birches, and Ledges Hotel—on Veterans Day. The veterans’ appreciation event also included a fireside chat with wine and cheese and featured speaker veteran Earl Granville as well as photographic exhibit featuring images from 1965 and 1966 taken by Stanton Pratt, former US Army Combat photographer. This is the sixth year for the event and its on the calendar for 2019! Congratulations! Skytop Lodge was recognized with two Stella Awards for 2018. The resort received a silver award for Best Golf Resort—Northeast and a bronze award for Best Food & Beverage—Northeast. Philadelphia Chapter The Bourse officially opened its doors in November. The food hall, located across the street from Independence Mall, includes 28 food and drink vendors. Southern Chapter Congratulations! Gettysburg Hotel’s restaurant, One Lincoln Food & Spirits, has been selected as a Susquehanna Style magazine’s Silver Spoon Award winner for 2018. This is the 10th year that the restaurant has been recognized by the publication as having one of the top dining experiences in the Central Pennsylvania region. Western Chapter Congratulations! The Carlton was among eleven nation-wide restaurants recognized by Wine Spectator as top spots to wine, dine and bottle shop.
