26  • PENNSYLVANIA RESTAURANT & LODGING matters • Winter 2019 MEMBER MILESTONES Keystone Chapter Carnegie Inn & Spa’s General Manager Rebecca Muller was honored as a 2018 Women Making a Difference by Pennsylvania Business Central’s publication Women in Business. This year, the publication recognized 41 women, nominated by readers, whose “tireless work provides the bedrock of a strong community.” Rebecca serves on the Keystone Chapter Board of Directors. Congratulations! Lancaster Chapter The team at Kitchen Kettle Village made an impact on their local community by adopting more than 200 families during the holiday season. They provided a Christmas Dinner-in-a-Box to each family, filled tote bags with toiletries for each family, and provided packages of new underwear, socks, and dental and craft supplies for all the children in each family. Kitchen Kettle Village has made this commitment to its community since 2004. Brandywine Chapter Congratulations! Jim Fris was named chief executive officer of PJW Restaurant Group . Jim joined the company as chief operating officer 15 years ago. Founder Bob Platzer took on the title of executive chairman. For several years Victory Brewing Co. has participated in the Lord’s Pantry Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program. This 100 percent volunteer-run nonprofit, based in Downingtown, has been in operation for over 50 years, helping families in the area who are in need. In 2016 and 2017, Victory’s generous team members donated over $2,000 to the cause, which Victory matched for a total of over $4,000! These donations provided gifts for 13 children and grocery gift cards for their parents or caregivers. This past holiday season, Victory employees collected cash donations, matched by Victory, to purchase gifts for two families, each with four children.
