Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon | www.plso.org 17 continues T 2020 Annual Conference: Surveyor of the Year Nomination letter for Tim Fassbender, PLS December 4, 2019 To: Aimee McAuliffe, Executive Secretary John Voorheis, 2019 Awards Nomination Chair Re: PLSO Surveyor of the Year Nomination Name of Nominee: Tim Fassbender, Oregon PLS No. 2199 Reason to Recognize this Individual: Tim Fassbender is a Professional Land Surveyor and Certified Water Rights Examiner with more than 42-years’ experience in all aspects of the surveying profession. He has been active in PLSO for 30-plus years, including but not limited to serving as the Leg- islative Committee Chair for 23 years, Midwest Chapter President five times and State Chair in 1990, 1995, and 2010. He was also awarded Surveyor of the Year in 1992 for his earlier volunteer leadership. In addition, Tim has recently been appointed to serve as a member of OSBEELS. He is being nominated again for his efforts on behalf of PLSO, in particular his recent work to update the PLSO Strategic Plan, as well as serving on the PLSO Board of Directors the past two years and for agreeing to be the 2020 Chair-Elect, which of course means he will be the Chair in 2021 and Past-Chair in 2022.
