15 2020 Annual Conference: Award Winners Lifetime Members Michael Berry, PLS & David Williams, PLS Michael Berry, PLS Mike Berry became a PLSO member in 1990 and has remained very active in the organization, holding various positions includ- ing Central Chapter President and presenting on various topics at events. He has had a career that includes service to the pro- fession that has demonstrated a history of high competence, integrity, and professionalism. In 2011, Mike was awarded County Surveyor of the Year and in 2019, the same year as his retire- ment, presented with the Life Membership award by Oregon Association of County Engineering and Land Surveyors. Mike’s willingness to help local surveyors resolve issues on difficult boundary resolutions, along with his remarkable knowledge of the history for rights of way and platting as a County Surveyor, is second to none. His interaction with the public on advocating and recommending a licensed surveyor is always in the best in- terest of the profession. David Williams, PLS Dave Williams joined PLSO in 1977 and been a continuous mem- ber since 1988. He has been extremely active with the Central Chapter, serving as secretary/treasurer from 2010–2011, pres- ent elect in 2012 and chapter president in 2013. In 2014 he was selected as Surveyor of the Year and went on to serve as PLSO Chair-Elect in 2016 and Chairman of the Board in 2017. Addition- ally, Dave has served as the current PLSO Legislative Committee Chair since 2016. He has demonstrated the highest degrees of competence, integrity and professionalism in his service to the Oregon land surveying community. Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon | www.plso.org
