Oregon Truck Dispatch As of July 24, 2020, face coverings are required for all Oregonians ages five and up in indoor public spaces (for example, grocery stores, pharmacies, public transit, personal services providers, restaurants, bars, retail stores), and outdoors when six feet of distance cannot be maintained. And pursuant to Governor Brown’s County Specific Mask, Face Shield, Face Covering Guidance, businesses in Clackamas, Clatsop, Hood River, Lincoln, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, and Washington Counties must, “[r]equire employees, contractors, volunteers, customers, and visitors to wear a mask, face shield, or face covering,” unless an accommodation or exemption is required by law or one of the Governor’s exemptions applies. The guidance specifically mandates businesses provide such masks, face shields, or face coverings for employees. As always, employers should consult their legal counsel to address issues specific to their workplace, as each worksite presents its own challenges.
