OTA Dispatch Issue 3, 2020
10 Oregon Trucking Associations, Inc. Oregon Truck Dispatch EVENTS Annual Bob Russell Truck PAC Golf Tournament LANGDON FARMS | AURORA, OR | JULY 21, 2020 THE PANDEMIC didn’t stop over 135 golfers and sponsors from coming out on the course to support Oregon’s Truck PAC this year. The annual golf event is the largest fundraiser that supports our advocacy efforts, specifically to gain access to candidates that support our collective mission as an industry. With masks available, plastic separators in golf carts, and plenty of space outside to socially distance, it’s clear that our trucking members continue to recognize the importance of sharing our voice with policymakers so we are properly represented. But, let’s face it—we had a lot of fun, too (maybe more than usual because of the quarantine)! We saw lots of familiar faces and some new ones—including a large crew from title sponsor, Thomas & Sons, and shared plenty of laughs. Because we weren’t able to officially gather for lunch this year, we held a digital meeting hosted by OTA Chair Andy Owens with A & M Transport the following day to announce the winners. Congratulations to the following individuals/teams: Low Gross - TEC Equipment • Nathan Achim • Bob Griffith • Bruce Heiberg • Jimmy Heiberg Low Net - Freightliner NW Todd Tracy Peter Hobb • Kam Sihota • Ken McCullough Closest to the Pin #3 • Bryan Hoge, Carson Oil Longest Drive #12 • Brock Thomas, Thomas & Sons Thank you to everyone that was able to join us. If you couldn’t make it, you still have an option to make a donation to the Truck PAC! Every amount counts, but we urge you to consider becoming a Leadership Circle member at $1,000/year. Visit: www.ortrucking.org/store to submit online or send a check to Oregon Truck PAC and send to Oregon Trucking Associations, 4005 SE Naef Road, Portland, OR 97267.
